Saif Ali Khan is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Bhoot Police. The actor has explored the horror-comedy genre and during a recent interaction he feels that it's on the lines of getting overexposed. Saif also said that the genre is popular among all age groups who enjoy getting scared and left in splits at the same time.

The Sacred Games actor told IANS, "I think it is in danger of getting over exposed and you have to find a way to make it different."

Saif also feels that a lot of the situations tend to be similar. He added that makers have to 'put their minds to it now and come up with a different looking and feeling ghost.'

Khan further stated, "But one film has started to look a little bit like another because I think the ghost is looking the same."

He called it a 'great cause of concern' and feels that they all need to wake up to that. However, Saif feels they have made an effort in Bhoot Police to be different in that sense.

While talking about the popularity of Bhoot Police as a genre, Saif added, "I think there is something nice about being scared and not so scared and mixing that up with a good laugh. That extreme of emotion is something that people enjoy. Sometimes opposites become quite interesting."

Bhoot Police is directed by Pawan Kripalani while Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri are the producers. The film also features Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.

The horror-comedy which was set to release on September 17, 2021, is set for an earlier release on September 10, on Disney+ Hotstar. It is a Ganesh Chaturthi festive release for the film.
