The seasoned producer rebuffed all rumors regarding the collaboration and release date of Kick 2 and gave a new update about his upcoming venture in a recent social media post. Sajid Nadiadwala’s announcement

Sajid Nadiadwala clarified on X (formerly Twitter) through his production house: NGE about the Kick sequel. Earlier, several reports suggested that the project is led by Tamil filmmaker AR Murugadoss. However, the makers have shared an official update regarding the baseless rumors. They also announced an upcoming special project with Murugadoss.

Sharing to X (formerly Twitter), Sajid Nadiadwala’s production house, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE), reshared a news article from a media outlet and rebuffed the ongoing speculations on Salman Khan-starrer Kick 2. The report also stated that Salman has teamed up with Tamil director AR Murugadoss for his upcoming movie.

“We would like to officially announce that all speculations and rumors with regard to #Kick2 are untrue,” the X post read.

In the same tweet, it was also stated that a special project is currently underway with AR Murugadoss, and he also requested media houses to wait until an official announcement.

For the uninitiated, a report in Bollywood Hungama speculated that Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala teamed up for Kick 2. Nadiadwala, who made his directorial debut in 2014 with Kick, will only be supervising the sequel. While the directorial role would be spearheaded by AR Murugadoss.

Fans react to the announcement

The social media post soon sparked excitement among fans. While many gave a thumbs up to the official news, several requested the production house to drop the release date soon.

Some even suggested that the makers should drop the release date on the occasion of “Eid.” While many expressed that they knew about the fake news. One X user wrote, “Thanks for clarification. Knew it moment I read the headline #SalmanKhan.”

Meanwhile, fans can rewatch Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez’s action-comedy Kick on Disney+Hotstar.
