Salaar: Have Prabhas' multiple commitments caused conflict between him and Prashanth Neel?

The theatrical release of Salaar is still a year away but the film continues to make the news for myriad reasons. A lot of this could be attributed to the fact it forges the union of two of India cinema's current biggest superstars in the form of Prabhas and director Prashanth Neel - in this vein, the project has attracted several speculations over time concerning the on-set dynamics between the duo.

The latest speculation, in this regard, suggests that things might not be all hunky-dory between Neel and Prabhas and that the former isn't particularly happy with the Adipurush actor. Prabhas is juggling between multiple high-profile projects at the moment and each has him donning a completely distinct image, thus demanding different physical looks. This, reportedly, has caused continuity issues in Salaar which the K.G.F: Chapter 2 director isn't happy with.

This isn't the first instance of a 'disagreement' between the two as previously speculations were rife about Neel being unhappy with Prabhas' physical weight during the making of Salaar. Reports emerged earlier this year stating that Prabhas had put on a few kilos for his other acting commitments but Prashanth Neel visioned his lead actor to look much slimmer and trimmer. The same reports revealed that Neel was to closely monitor Prabhas' transformation to fit the requirements

Salaar has been in the making for quite some time now with the film's official muhurath taking place back in January of 2021. The pandemic and multiple other factors, including Prabhas and Prashanth Neel's other commitments, are said to have caused a significant delay in production. The film is set to release in theatres on September 28, 2023, as Telugu-Kannada bilingual.

The film brings together the K.G.F combination of director Prashanth Neel and producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead with the principal cast also including Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, and others.
