Salman Khan announced on Monday that his next film would be released either at Diwali or Christmas this year. He did not reveal the title, plot, or genre of the film.

On the sidelines of a press conference to promote the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), Salman declared that he was taking a break over Eid this year. Instead, Ajay Devgn's film Runway 34 will be released. On Eid, the superstar would like to see everyone exhibit as much affection for the Singham actor's director film as one does for his film.

When asked if he would ever go the OTT way, Salman responded in an unusual way, saying that he would appear on OTT, but only as a producer. They are talking about a few projects right now.

For him, theatres must be larger than life, and the single-minded concentration on heroism is the reason why films from the South are performing so well across India.

Salman stated that heroic films are a vanishing breed in Bollywood. These days, Bollywood has moved away from films with a lot of heroism in them. Unfortunately, heroism is no longer fashionable in Bollywood because it has always been a hallmark of Bollywood. There is an emotional connection with the film's protagonist.

He went on to say that what began as a formula for heroes with Salim-Javed continues to this day in films from the South. They've deciphered the code. It's unclear whether Hindi films will ever return to that territory as an industry.

Salman concluded by saying that he has always worked in the film industry because it's something he is passionate about. Another point to consider is that South Indian writers are extremely dedicated to their craft and are well-versed in audience dynamics. Films have spread across India, and he would like to see directors from the South adapting Bollywood scripts for production in their own territory, and vice versa. That's when they will have an overabundance of high-quality content in cinema.
