Salman Khan has revealed that he was rejected from Sudhir Mishra’s latest offering, Tanaav. The web series, currently streaming on Sony LIV, has been receiving lots of applauds for everything from the storyline to acting. Salman was actually going to be associated with the series along with his brother Arbaaz Khan.

On the recent episode from Bigg Boss 16, Salman revealed that he was actually going to be a part of Tanaav. When the actor heard that the critically-acclaimed Israeli series Fauda is being remade, he was intrigued.

Salman was even in talks to do the project, the actor-host revealed on Bigg Boss 16 when Team Tanaav, including Sudhir Mishra, Manav Vij, Arbaaz Khan, Waluscha D'Souza and Sumit Kaul, came to promote their show on the sets. He wanted to play the role of Kabir, which is being played by Manav Vij in Tanaav. Kabir is the lead character who is in search of Panther (Sumit Kaul).

Salman then shared that since Arbaaz was associated the project, he revealed that Manav was already finalized for the role. Thus, Salman let the role go.

On hearing so, Sudhir Mishra said that he had no clue that Salman was eyeing the project. He said that he heard about it the first time when Salman made the revelation.

All episodes of Tanaav are now available for viewing on OTTplay app and Sony LIV. The show is the top trending show on the OTT app.

A new season of Tanaav is currently in the making. There will be some changes in the cast this time. Whether Salman will be a part of the show this time and thanks to that, make his OTT debut, remains to be seen.
