Samantha Akkineni calls Cinema Bandi ‘endearing’ and readies audiences for season 2 of Family Man

Cinema Bandi, a comedy drama film featuring many new faces is currently streaming on Netflix. The film has received an overwhelming response from both audiences and critics. Actress Samantha Akkineni took to Instagram to express her appreciation for Cinema Bandi.

The plot of Cinema Bandi follows a group of youngsters who accidentally come across a camera and decide to take up filmmaking in a remote village of Southern India.

Samantha wrote, “#cinemabandi is endearing and so full of hope. Three cheers to the team for bringing us this gem of a film….a breath of fresh air. Congratulations @rajanddk so so happy for you. Now, let’s release #thefamilyman2 (sic).”

The actress’ Instagram story congratulated the director of Cinema Bandi, Praveen Kandregula, and producers Raj and DK. The latter will also be producing her digital debut Family Man 2.

Family Man 2 is all set for release this summer, and now Samantha Akkineni herself has expressed her excitement for the project, urging the showrunners to release the second season soon. Samantha, who will be playing the antagonist (Raji) against Manoj Bajpayee’s lead character (Srinakant), will be making her digital debut with Family Man 2. The second season will start from a cliffhanger where the last season ended.
