Samantha is wounded and lost amidst a crowd in Yashoda’s new poster; here’s the teaser launch date

It has been a couple of years since Samantha has had a direct release in Telugu. Movie buffs will finally heave a sigh of relief as the actress will have at least two theatrical releases in the second half of the year – Yashoda and Kushi. While Yashoda is a new-age thriller helmed by debutants Hari and Harish, Kushi is a rom-com directed by Shiva Nirvana. Commemorating Vinayaka Chaturthi, the makers of Yashoda revealed a new update on the film’s teaser today.

The teaser of Yashoda is all set to be launched on September 9. The makers, Sridevi Movies, confirmed the news with a poster, where Samantha is all wounded and injured and is lost amidst crowd in a public place. The first glimpse of the much-anticipated film was unveiled a few months ago and opened to positive responses all over. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan play other lead roles in the thriller which wrapped its talkie portions recently.

Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima Narla, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada and Priyanka Sharma form the supporting cast of the film. The makers name Yashoda a high-octane action thriller that’ll ensure an edge-of-the-seat experience. The producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, who backed films like Aditya 369, Sammohanam and Gentleman in the past, is extremely confident of the film’s fortunes and is planning a grand release across five languages.

Mynaa Sukumar has cranked the camera for the film which has music by Mani Sharma. Pulagam Chinninarayana and Challa Bhagyalakshmi are penning the dialogues for the Telugu version. Chandrabose, Ramajogiah Sastry have come up with the lyrics. The film, to be edited by veteran Marthand K Venkatesh, has production design by Ashok. Venkat and Yannick Ben have choreographed the action sequences. The film’s release date will be announced shortly. Earlier, the thriller was to release on August 12, but was postponed.
