Samantha's involvement in The Family Man 2 (2021) gave her her first taste of action last year. The actor has learned the basics of boxing, kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and mixed martial arts (MMA) in just one year. She thinks that her newfound love of action and her soon-to-be-released movie, Yashoda, are partly to blame for the change in her luck.

She told Midday that she never thought she would take action. Samantha has had a revelation about her affinity for the genre. The actor plays a surrogate mother fighting against medical negligence in the action thriller. Last year, before Hari-Film Harish's project went into production, the actor trained hard with stunt choreographer Yannick Ben.

Although action set-pieces might be gory, they provide an adrenaline rush, according to Samantha. When someone pulls off a stunt, they feel accomplished.

Ben, who worked with her on The Family Man 2, says that her passion is one of her best qualities. In a behind-the-scenes video that followed the actor's training, Ben remarked that whenever one shows her any choreography, she is willing to give her best.

Yashoda is a bilingual film shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. It also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, and Murli Sharma.

Meanwhile, Samantha was given the diagnosis of myositis, an autoimmune disease, a few months ago. The actor wrote on her social media pages that she had hoped to post this when it entered remission. However, it's taking a bit longer than she had anticipated. The actor also shared that she is starting to understand that they don't always have to put on a brave face. She is still having a hard time accepting this vulnerability. However, the medical professionals are optimistic that she will soon make a full recovery.

When the Yashoda trailer got good feedback, Samantha said that the love and connection she has with all of her fans gives her the strength to deal with all of the problems that life seems to throw at her.
