Sanam Teri Kasam Re-release Box Office Day 14: The past two weeks have been about discussing how this new trajectory of re-releases on the big screen has turned into a parallel culture. Interstellar, Padmaavat, and Sanam Teri Kasam were all re-released on the same day, and two of the three even managed to pull off good business. Sanam Teri Kasam did exceptionally well, not only earning well but also exceeding its original lifetime collection within a couple of days. However, the movie is now slowing down and witnessing continuous drops. Read on to know everything about the same.
Recently, we reported how the grand total of Sanam Teri Kasam, considering the ₹9 crore lifetime collection from its original 2016 run along with the earnings from the re-release, confirms that the movie is now a profitable venture and a hit. Made on a budget of ₹18 crore back in the day, the film has finally found its audience, which marks a great trajectory for it.
The Chhaava storm hit exactly a week after Sanam Teri Kasam’s re-release. However, this did not affect the Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane starrer as it continued to maintain its steady pace for the next few days. But as word of mouth about the Vicky Kaushal starrer spread, Sanam Teri Kasam has now started witnessing significant drops. As per Sacnilk, the movie has earned ₹48 lakh on day 14 of its re-release, bringing its total re-release collection to ₹33.03 crore, excluding the original lifetime earnings.

Talking to News18 about the sequel, Harshvardhan Rane said, “I’m just a channel here. I’m looking for an association to happen. It’s said that with great power comes great responsibility. And with love comes even greater responsibility. It’s like if a girl loves you, you need to make sure that you give her the best treatment and place her on a pedestal over your head.”
Speaking about whether the makers feel the same responsibility, he mentioned that he is ready to stand outside the producer’s office to make Sanam Teri Kasam 2 happen, with no hesitation. Interestingly, the film was announced last September, but without any mention of a director.

“Step one was me posting on social media for Sanam Teri Kasam to get re-released. Step two was standing below Deepak sir’s office. Step three was getting the film finally re-released. Step four was the desire to see a ‘House Full’ board outside cinema houses because that’s something I’ve never seen in my career. And the final step is the fifth one, where you’ll find me standing below his office once again, requesting him to make part two. I have no awkwardness about it. I’m ready to do it," he remarked.
