Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane's Sanam Teri Kasam re-release took the theaters by storm as it is doing fabulous at the box office. The film has earned double its original lifetime run already. After nine years, the film is receiving its due love and attention. Harshvardhan has been in the film industry for over a decade now and has come a long way in his career. Before Sanam Teri Kasam, the actor got one big opportunity to debut in Hindi films. But he rejected it. Can you guess?
Not many know that Harshvardhan Rane was set to make his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, but he rejected the film as he did not want to play a negative character.
According to reports, he said, “The fact that Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted me to be part of his film was a high point in my life. But I was not looking to do negative roles. I wanted to do something new and different. People expected me to do negative roles. I wanted to break the norm, and because of that I lost some great work as well."

According to reports, Harshvardhan politely declined the part of Deepika Padukone’s brother in the film after being offered the role. The film also starred Ranveer Singh in the lead role.
Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela became a huge hit. However, Harshvardhan claimed that he doesn’t regret not being a part of the movie.
In an earlier interview, he said, “No regrets as such. It’s a dream for any actor to be part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. I would love to work with him. I hope he has something for me in his next film."
In an interview with India Forums, Sanam Teri Kasam directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru revealed that they have locked the script of Sanam Teri Kasam 2.
They said that the movie was written in two parts from the beginning. They are also sure about where Inder's (Harshvardhan Rane's character) story will go.
"That is why in the end he goes near that tree and Suru's voice echoes with her dialogues, which prepares you for part 2," they added.
When asked about the release date of the second part, the filmmakers shared that since everyone saw the first part this year's Valentine's Day, they will try to release Sanam Teri Kasam 2 on next year's Valentine's Day.
Meanwhile, Sanam Teri Kasam's re-release has collected Rs 18.50 crore to date, as per Sacnilk.
