Sandeep Reddy Vanga has spoken about his Animal actor Ranbir Kapoor at the recently held press conference. He cleared that Ranbir is not a chocolate boy, like he has been tagged. Instead, the Animal director calls Ranbir ‘fully alpha.’
Ranbir Kapoor ‘fully alpha’
Sandeep said that Ranbir is a ‘fully alpha’ hero. He remembered Ranbir in Rockstar and the train scene in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Further, Sandeep said that Ranbir is killing it as an action hero in Animal. “Chocolate boy, soft boy, is just a tag for him,” the director cleared.
Ranbir in Animal
Ranbir’s character in Animal is an alpha male. He is someone who loves his people dearly. This includes his father Balbir Singh played by Anil Kapoor and lover Geetanjali played by Rashmika Mandanna. The movie revolves around the character taking revenge for what happened to his father. This includes going against and getting violent with his lover.
Ranbir’s image in media
While Ranbir was initially tagged as a casanova, he is now called the red flag. Initially, there were interviews by his ex-girlfriend(s) that made people believe that Ranbir is not loyal in a relationship. Further, his viral photos made people believe he moves on very easily. More recently, Ranbir was called a red flag because of Alia Bhatt’s revelations during her interviews. Alia had previously said that Ranbir would ask her to watch her decibel even during arguments. People were stirred up and it was the second time, when Alia said that Ranbir asks her to remove her lipstick ‘because he likes her natural lip colour,’ that is when netizens called Ranbir a walking red flag and the interviews as Alia’s cry for help. Some time after the incident, Alia was conferred with the best actress award at the National Awards. Ranbir, who was not getting any award, flew his wife down and became her biggest fanboy when she received the award. That moment was before Animal’s promotions began and are still etched onto people’s minds.
