Sanjay Leela Bhansali – an eminent filmmaker who is the recipient of several awards, including seven National Film Awards – is on cloud nine as he is celebrating his 61st birthday today. Numerous celebrities have greeted him on the occasion. To add charm to the celebration, famous Bollywood celebrity couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have just now landed at his home. Ranbir and Alia – for the unfamiliar, will soon headline a film for Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

As per the latest clicks shared by the pap Manav Manglani, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor arrived in a car at the filmmaker's residence. While the celebrity couple's exact attire cannot be decoded, it seems that Ranbir was dressed up in black while Alia was dressed in white traditional outfits.

On Saturday, actresses Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, and Richa Chadha delighted fans by sharing behind-the-scenes snapshots alongside director Sanjay Leela Bhansali from the sets of the forthcoming Netflix series, "Heeramandi: The Diamond Market," to extend their birthday wishes to the acclaimed filmmaker.

“Happy birthday my dearest Sanjay sir. Thank you for the unending inspiration, your mind, your heart, for never ever allowing us to give up,” Aditi wrote on Instagram, sharing two photos from sets of Heeramandi.

Alia Bhatt’s connection with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

In 2022, Sanjay Leela Bhansali helmed Gangubai Kathiawadi, a biographical crime drama depicting the life of Gangubai Kothewali. The film, starring Alia Bhatt in the titular role, was released in February 2022. It received five National Film Awards, with Bhansali clinching victories for Best Editing and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Soon Alia and Sanjay will reunite for a film titled ‘Love and War’ which will also feature Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles.
