Sankranthiki Vasthunam to Love Under Construction: New Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil OTT releases to watch this week

Not just blockbuster films such as Pushpa 2: The Rule, the South digital space is also bringing in interesting series in 2025. JioHotstar takes the lead in Malayalam digital space with the web series Love Under Construction led by Neeraj Madhav. On the other hand, Prime Video is back with the second season of the Tamil series Suzhal: The Vortex Season 2. Not just the series, there is also Venkatesh’s Telugu film Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which is headed for the digital space after a successful run at the theatres. Venkatesh’s latest Telugu film was released in January 2025 as a Sankranthi release, and the movie was instantly liked by audiences. The film, directed by Anil Ravipudi, is now set for its OTT release this weekend. 

After a popular tech wizard gets abducted, cop Meenakshi is tasked with the case and she reaches out to ex-cop Raju for help. The film gets an amusing turn when Raju’s wife insists on joining the two. Fans of Telugu cinema and Venkatesh should be marking their calendars as Sankranthiki Vasthunam is not a film you would want to miss this weekend.

Suzhal: The Vortex Season 2

Pushkar and Gayatri are back with the second season of the thriller series Suzhal The Vortex. Aishwarya Rajesh, Lal, Manjima Mohan, Kayal Chandran, and Gouri G Kishan play key roles in Suzhal 2, which will pick up from where the first season ended. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the part 1 plot, Nandini was imprisoned for murdering the person who was responsible for the death of her sister. In the second season, the lawyer who defended also gets murdered, setting the stage for a gripping plot.

Neeraj Madhav, who has played key roles in Hindi series such as The Family Man, forays into Malayalam web series with Love Under Construction. The actor will be seen as a young man, Vinod, who is struggling to build his dream home, even as he pursues his love interest. Aju Varghese and Gouri G. Kishan play other key roles in the series, which is premie ring on JioHotstar.
