Suzhal The Vortex S2: Release date, OTT platform, cast, plot, crew, episodes and everything you need to know about Pushkar and Gayatri's crime web series

Tamil web series Suzhal The Vortex has been renewed for the second season. The series is a crime thriller coming from the filmmaker duo Pushkar and Gayatri, who also made the first season. Before its premiere on February 28 on Prime Video, here is everything you need to know.

Suzhal The Vortex S2 Release date

Suzhal The Vortex will stream from February 28 onwards. All the episodes will be dropped on the same time. The series is premiering about two years after the first season was released. Suzhal S2 will be Tamil cinema’s first web series to be released in 2025.

Just like the first season, the second season will also premiere on Prime Video. Suzhal 2 is a crime thriller series. Prime Video, which has streamed web series like Suzhal, Vadandhi, and Modern Love Chennai, Thalaivettiyan Palayam, and Inspector Rishi among others, will be adding Suzhal 2 to its latest Tamil catalogue.

Suzhal The Vortex S2 Plot

Suzhal - The Vortex S2 will begin with the murder of senior activist lawyer Chellapa, who defended Nandini serving her sentence in jail for the murder she committed in the first season. Sakkarai, the local police officer, is summoned to assist the family in their time of crisis. This season takes place against the backdrop of Ashtakaali Festival, as it unravels family secrets and betrayals, and acts in the past that cast long shadows on the present.

The trailer hints that the story picks from where the first season ends. Aishwarya Rajesh’s Nandhini, who killed her sister’s molester, is jailed. Actor Kathir is also back as Sakkarai who takes all the efforts to bring Nandhini back. 

Suzhal The Vortex S2 Cast

Kathir and Aishwarya Rajesh will be reprising their roles from season one, while Lal, Saravanan, Manjima Mohan, Kayal Chandran, Gouri G Kishan, Samyuktha Viola Viswanathan, Monisha Blessy, Rini, Shrisha, Abhirami Bose, Nikhila Sankar, Kalaivani Bhaskar, Ashwini Nambiar, Chandini Tamilarasan and others will be joining the second season.

Suzhal The Vortex S2 Crew

Created by Pushkar and Gayatri, the series is helmed by Bramma and Sarjun KM. Wallwatcher Films of Pushkar and Gayatri, who are also showrunners of the series, is producing the series. Abraham Joseph is the cinematographer and Sam CS has scored the music. Richard Kevin is the editor of the series.
