Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B: Guess which iconic movie Rakshit Shetty wants to be a part of

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B actor Rakshit Shetty reckons that if he had to pick one film from the past to star in, he would go for his friend and colleague Rishab Shetty's Kantara. 

"I am from the same place," he said to justify his pick, while speaking to Malayalam actress and chat show host Pearle Maaney recently. Rakshit, of course, recently visited Kochi as part of the promotions of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B, which is set to release in theatres on November 17th in four languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and the Kannada original. 

During a 'rapid-fire' session on the show, Rakshit Shetty revealed that if he wished to star in a film he did not have the opportunity to be part of, he would pick Kantara. Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, who also plays the lead role in the film, Kantara explores folklore and lesser-known culture of coastal Karnataka and both the film and Rishab's central performance received exceptional praise from all corners of the country. On the strength of the film's stellar success, Rishab Shetty is now engrossed in the making of Kantara 2, which is billed as a prequel to the original story.

Rakshit Shetty is among those countless people who raved about Kantara The actor very famously ran up to Rishab during one of the screenings of the film to embrace him and let him know that his performance, particularly in the climax sequence, was mesmerizing, to say the least. Both Rakshit and Rishab are also recognised as close friends who have worked together on several occasions, including the blockbuster Kirik Party which the former co-wrote and starred in and the latter directed.

In the same interview, Rakshit Shetty picked his character Manu from Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side as his current personal favourite. He added that the role of 'Richie', which he will be reprising in his own upcoming directorial Richard Anthony, could be his next favourite.

As far as Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B is concerned, the second part of the film will see Chaithra J Achar joining the cast with Rakshit and Rukmini Vasanth (as Priya) reprising their respective roles.
