Contrary to speculations of Hania Amir being replaced in Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaar Ji 3, the Pakistani actress is actually still a part of the movie. The recently released trailer has confirmed the same, and sees her along with Neeru Bajwa and of course, Diljit himself. Along with the trailer release, Diljit Dosanjh confirmed that the movie would have an overseas release only. Yes, you heard it right.
Although there were speculations that Diljit Dosanjh clarified Hania Amir is not a part of his movie Sardaar Ji 3, the actor was only putting the speculations of an image to rest. Hania Amir is confirmed to be a part of Sardaar Ji 3 and the same was confirmed with the trailer release of his movie.
Sardaar Ji 3, thus, will only release overseas. The movie was scheduled for July 27 release in what was assumed to be Indian theatres. However, the Punjab-based singer-actor has now affirmed that the movie from his much-loved franchise will see an overseas release only in order to retain Hania and respect India's ban on Pakistani artists.
FWICE wrote a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) pleading to stop Diljit Dosanjh's film Sardaar Ji 3 from releasing in India. They threatened that since the movie shows various Pakistani artists, Diljit could also face a ban in the industry. Days since the complaint, Diljit made the surprising announcement.
Sardaar Ji is Diljit's popular film franchise and sees him take on many roles. This time, he is seen as a ghosthunter in UK. The film also stars Neeru Bajwa as the female lead.
