Scarlett Johansson recently disclosed the character and film genre she is currently thinking about taking up as her next project. On November 18, the Black Widow actor received the 35th American Cinematheque Award at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. During a press conference, the actress told E! News that she would like to pursue a horror film in the future.

Johansson said that at some point, she would like to do a horror film. The actor revealed that she can't watch them because she will never be able to, but she wants to be a part of it.

The Jojo Rabbit actor also joked that the evening's lifetime achievement award made her nervous in real life. She cracked a joke by saying, "Wait, am I done? Is this the end of my story?"

Johansson further assured that she thought this was the conclusion of something, but now she sees it's the middle, which is fine.

The actor shared that she is truly blessed to have worked with some of her most favourite filmmakers. The Avengers: Endgame actor added that those creative, collaborative circumstances are what she is most proud of. She said that she has worked with some wonderful people and she considers herself extremely fortunate to enjoy her profession and what she does while still being passionate about it.

The actor also stated that producing is "quite different" from performing and that she will "never not be" as an actor. However, she admits that producing is extremely fulfilling.

Johansson, who is married to Saturday Night Live comedian Colin Jost, told E! News that her family is always inspiring her. The actor concluded by stating that she has two great children, and she believes it is critical for both of them to witness their parents happy and content in their profession, following their aspirations, and being passionate about what they do.
