Selfiee: Watch Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi celebrate film’s schedule wrap with a cake cutting

Akshay Kumar is certainly one of the busiest stars in Bollywood at the moment, with several films awaiting release. The star is currently working on his upcoming film, Selfie, which also stars Emraan Hashmi. The stars recently wrapped up the Bhopal shoot schedule for the upcoming film, and celebrated the same with a cake.

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, which is bankrolling the film, shared the delightful video on their social media handles. In the video, Hashmi and Kumar are seen cutting a big cake, with the film’s crew behind them.

The caption read “It's a schedule wrap for our khiladi @akshaykumar for #Selfiee!📸

Looking forward to all the energy and madness he will bring on the next schedule, soon!”.

Director Raj Mehta also shared the video on his official Instagram handle as well, with the caption “And that’s a WRAP for @akshaykumar sir on the Bhopal schedule of #SELFIEE! Thank you so much for making it so easy and so much fun despite the blistering heat! You’re truly one of a kind! ❤️”.

The upcoming film marks Mehta’s most recent collaboration with Kumar, after their 2019 film Good Newwz. The film also sees Kumar share the screen with Hashmi for the first time as well. In addition to Hashmi and Kumar, the film also stars Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha in pivotal roles.

The film is bankrolled by Dharma Productions, Kumar’s Cape of Good Films and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames.

Selfie is the Hindi remake of the hit Malayalam film Driving Licence (2019),which revolves around the story of a superstar who is helped by a police officer to get a driver’s license. Directed by Lal Jr., the film starred Prithviraj,Suraj Venjaramoodu, Miya George, Deepti Sati. In Selfiee, Kumar will essay the role, portrayed by Prithviraj, while Hashmi will play Venjaramoodu’s character.
