Taapsee Pannu is currently busy promoting her next flick Shabaash Mithu. The film, which is a biopic of Mithali Raj, the former Indian women cricket team’s captain, is nearing its release. Recently, the actor talked about her turning a producer and working on a film, which will be led by Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She also said that there’s a possibility that she would too act a role in it.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress discussed taking on new responsibilities beside acting. The Pink actress has also confirmed her forthcoming project, which will be headlined by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and produced by Taapsee. Taapsee said, “There is something that we are working together on. We will announce what it is very soon. But yes, we are working on something together. I will be producing it.”
Taapsee also said that she might act in it too. When asked if she will also have a role in the project, she answered, "If there is a part in it that I can do, then I would, but she (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) is going to be leading it." She further expressed her excitement regarding the project, claiming it is a unique kind of thrill.
Taapsee went on to share her thoughts on her next film, Dhak Dhak, which stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza Rekhi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanjana Sanghi. She said when she sees the call sheet of the production, videos and photos from the sets every day, she feels a childlike excitement. “It feels like, how you feel it’s your baby kind of a feeling, it feels like that only. So it's a different kind of excitement when I assess Dhak Dhak,” she said.

Furthermore, Taapsee is looking forward to the next sports biography, Shabhaash Mithu, directed by Srijit Mukherji. The movie is based on Mithali Raj, the previous test and one-day international captain of the Indian national cricket team. The cast will also include Vijay Raaz, Brijendra Kala, Mumtaz Sircar, and others.
The film's trailer was recently posted, and the public has been praising it ever since. The film will be released in theatres on July 15.
Taapsee, on the other hand, will appear in Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She also has Jana Gana Mana, Dobaaraa and Blurr in the pipeline.
