While Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol are currently in competition at the Box Office thanks to Gadar 2 and SRK’s January release Pathaan, they actually have discussed the latest release starring Sunny in the lead role. The Damini actor has revealed that SRK spoke to him before he went to watch Gadar 2. One does not hear Shah Rukh Khan calling an actor before watching a movie but it does come as a pleasant surprise. This comes especially because of SRK-Sunny’s bittersweet connection.

Shah Rukh Khan had revealed that he saw Gadar 2 some time back. During his #AskSRK session on Twitter, the superstar shared that he had seen and loved Sunny’s movie. He had replied by tweeting, “Yeah loved it (sic)!!”

What SRK told Sunny before watching Gadar 2

During his conversation with Times Now, Sunny revealed that SRK called him before watching Gadar 2. He said that before watching the movie, SRK called Sunny to say that he’s genuinely happy for the actor because he deserves it. In response, Sunny said thank you. Sunny further went on to reveal that he has been speaking to SRK and Gauri from time-to-time. They exchange thoughts on a few matters.

SRK-Sunny’s bittersweet past

Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol were both superstars of the 90s. While Sunny was an established star, SRK was a newer star. They worked together in Darr, which starred Juhi Chawla as the female lead. Sunny was promised a bigger role but SRK stole the spotlight from him and became the antagonist who the film revolved around. Ever since, Sunny and SRK did not work together. However, they have buried the past now. In response to that, Sunny said, “Time heals everything and we move ahead. That's how it should be.”
