After a long wait, Shah Rukh Khan sat down for an interview at a public event, where he discussed his return to the big screen after a four-year absence. At the Sharjah International Book Fair, the superstar was honoured with the Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative Award. During his presence at the event, SRK was quizzed about his upcoming films, Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, and if he is jittery.
To which the superstar replied, "I'm going to be honest; I don't think I need to be nervous. I think they're going to be all super hit films."
Shah Rukh further explained, "So it's not an arrogant statement. This is what I believe as I sit here: that I'm not nervous. I think they're wonderful films. And it's a childlike belief that, look, I've prepared my best. I've done my best, and I'm going to pass with flying colours."
While narrating an incident, the Baazigar star said, "It's happened to lots of us, at least to me when I was a young kid. I remember acing my mathematics exam. I did very well, and I came back, and in the results, I got three out of 100, but I thought I did really well. Sometimes that happens with movies as well. I do make a zero sometimes with what I've put in terms of effort, and it becomes a Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge."
SRK concluded by stating, "So I don't know how to control it. I have to just believe it, and no, I'm not nervous at all; I'm actually very excited, if I may use my name in the third person, to see Shah Rukh Khan on screen again."
Pathaan, his next release, is directed by Siddharth Anand. The film is set to release during the Republic Day weekend, that is, January 25, 2022.
