Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Toofaan streams on Amazon Prime Video.
Farhan Akhtar's latest outing Toofaan is finally streaming on Amazon Prime Video from today (July 16, 2021). The film is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and people are talking about it on social media pages. Among many reviews by critics and fans, there's one more review that has caught the attention of many. Yes, we are talking about superstar Shah Rukh Khan! He took to his Twitter page and heaped praises on Farhan starrer flick.
SRK tweeted, "Wish my friends @FarOutAkhtar @RakeyshOmMehra the best for their labour of love. I had the privilege to see it a few days back. Extremely fine performances by @SirPareshRawal (wow!) @mohanagashe @mrunal0801 @hussainthelal."
The superstar further wrote, "My review: we should all try & make more films like Toofaan."
Talking about the premise of Toofaan, it's described as "An inspiring story about an orphan boy from the streets of Dongri, who grows up to become a local goon of his area and ow his life changes after he meets the young and compassionate Ananya, who guides him towards the right path and makes him realise his true calling that is boxing."
Along with Farhan who plays Aziz Ali aka Ajju Bhai, Toofaan also stars Mrunal Thakur as Ananya, Paresh Rawal as Coach Nana Prabhu and Hussain Dalal as Munna in pivotal roles.
The film marks the second outing of Farhan and Rakeysh after hit Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The music for the film is composed by various artists including Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Dub Sharma, Samuel–Akanksha and Daniel Lozinski. While the lyrics are penned by Javed Akhtar, D'Evil and Manoj Kumar Nath.
Toofaan was set to stream on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year, but the makers postponed it due to the rising cases of COVID-19.
