Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki becomes the more popular movie on OTT than Prabhas’ Salaar

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is the more popular theatrical release on OTT as compared to Prabhas’ Salaar. The movie has moved up the spot after two weeks, according to a report on Ormax Media for the week of March 1-7. Of course, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal is still on the list of top three theatrical release on OTT this week.

Animal

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal released on Netflix and is still on top 10 there. It was one of the most discussed films of 2023, and it released towards the end of the year, so the craze continued in 2024 as well. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is his second Bollywood film after Kabir Singh. People who have seen Animal have strong views – they either love it or tolerate it. The film features Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Tripti Dimri and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.

Dunki

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki ranked second on the list and is also among top 10 on Netflix. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial also featured Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. The film managed to finally climb up a rank and beat Prabhas’ Salaar at it.

Salaar

When Prabhas’ Salaar was releasing on OTT in Hindi, the excitement was at the peak. After ranking first and second in two weeks, in the third week, the movie ranks third. The Hindi version of Salaar is available on Disney+Hotstar.

Which movie could replace Salaar?

That remains one big question, for most theatrical releases on OTT released long ago. Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif-Emraan Hashmi’s Tiger 3 could make a comeback, or maybe Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram which lasted just for a week, may make it to the list.
