Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki is now one of the most anticipated releases of the year after his two blockbusters - Pathaan and Jawan. On the other hand, Prabhas' Salaar –Part 1: Ceasefire is another forthcoming flick which is highly awaited by the fans. According to their earlier announcements, both films have been gearing up for the biggest clash of 2023 on December 22. However, a rumour has recently been doing rounds on the internet that the makers have postponed the release of the King Khan starrer, while an official statement from the team suggests that everything is going to take place as planned.

The buzz around Dunki

According to the latest tweet by Manobala Vijayabalan, the theatrical release of Dunki is going to be postponed. The popular film trade analyst took to his official Twitter aka X account to share the buzz around both the forthcoming flicks. He mentioned that reportedly, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer might get postponed release, which was earlier decided on December 22, due to the delay in post-production of the Rajkumar Hirani directorial.

Official statement from the Dunki team

However, an official statement from the makers' team clearly mentions that amid the speculations about Dunki's release date getting postponed have kept the audience excitement on edge, now it has been confirmed that Dunki has locked its release on Christmas 2023.

Along with directing, Hirani has also co-wrote the screenplay with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon. Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles alongside Dharmendra, Satish Shah, and Parikshit Sahni as key characters with Vicky Kaushal in a cameo role.

According to an earlier statement by Prabhas, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire stars him in the most violent avatar he has ever done onscreen. Directed and written by Prashanth Neel, the action-thriller drama also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu as pivotal characters along with Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju in key roles.
