Shaakunthalam: Samantha gives an emotional speech at the trailer launch

Samantha has been lying low for a while now due to her illness myositis. She is a fighter and has gone through a lot personally in the last two years but that has not stopped her from doing films. Even after getting admitted to the hospital, she wrapped up the dubbing part of her latest film Shaakunthalam and even attended the trailer launch of the film.

Dressed in a white Sari, Sam looked stunned and choked a bit while speaking about the film. Sam said she only came to see the audience's reaction to the trailer. The star heroine also said for every film we give our 100% but only a few films turn out to be epic and Shaakunthalam is one such film. The film is so much more than what I expected said Samantha.

The film has been directed by Gunasekhar and speaking about him, Sam said that the veteran director only dreams and talks about films all the time and has given his life and soul to Shaakunthalam. Dev Mohan also played a key role in this film which has veteran actor Mohan Babu in a key role.

Shakunthalam is up for a release on the 17th of February and Samantha said that there is so much to speak about the film and has saved the best for the pre-release event. Though the reaction to the trailer has been mixed on social media, Sam is super happy and that is all that matters for now.
