Shark Tank India: When Vineeta Singh called Anupam Mittal, an 'original celebrity'

Shark Tank India is one of the most popular reality shows in the country. Despite months after its finale, the show still continues to make headlines. The show not only helped startup founders with investment and guidance but also provided sharks with fame and they became overnight celebrities. 

Recently, one of the sharks on the show, Vineeta Singh said in an interview that it is Anupam Mittal who is an 'original celebrity'. The co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics and founder of Shaadi.com who judged Season 1 of Shark Tank India were playing a game with YouTuber Suhani Shah. The two sharks were at their hilarious best and were seen pulling each other's legs. When the host Suhani said that she loved the Indian masala in the show, Anupam responds by asking if it was because of Vineeta's hand movements. And Vineeta gives it back that Anupam is expecting her to sugarcoat him. She then says Anupam is an 'original celebrity' as he has done movies as well. She said everyone would look at him and learn how to face the camera. The two women continue pulling Anupam's legs saying the show also got delayed because of his 'celebrity' status. But the entrepreneur had a clever response to it. He said he can prove in a second who was the most 'vela' or jobless person on the show. Referring to himself, he said there was only one person who appeared on all episodes of the show and that proves him to be the most 'vela' person. 

The two are then seen indulging in a fun game, guessing the professions of the participants on the show and the sharks get them all right. 

Meanwhile, the makers have announced Season 2 of the show, which is officially adapted from the US-based show, Shark Tank. Apart from Vineeta and Anupam, season one of the Indian version was the show was also judged by Ghazal Alagh, Ashneer Grover, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, and Peyush Bansal. The show was hosted by Rannvijay Singha and all episodes are now available to stream on SonyLIV.
