Sharwanand: Oke Oka Jeevitham will be an unforgettable, memorable film for audiences

Sharwanand has been an actor who's consistently stood for his quality performances, earning fans across Tamil and Telugu languages. After Sreekaram and Maha Samudram this year, he will next be seen in a bilingual Oke Oka Jeevitham a.k.a Kanam (in Tamil), a light-hearted family entertainer with a sci-fi angle. Directed by Shree Karthick, the film also features Ritu Varma, Amala Akkineni, Priyadarshi and Vennela Kishore in key roles. At the teaser launch in Hyderabad, the actor told why he'll always hold the film close to his heart all through his career.

"I will only be telling a few words about Oke Oka Jeevitham - as the title says, it's one life after all. I don't want to exhaust my views on this film in this teaser launch alone. More than me or the director Shree Karthick, this is a film about his (director's) mother. From the time the script was narrated to the film's completion, she has been our guiding force. I've said a lot about my previous films in the past. For this one, I would rather let the film do the talking," Sharwanand said.

He further added, "I am so happy to be a part of this film. I must thank SR Prabhu, we had been planning to collaborate on a film for over 8 years now but it only materialised now. He suggested I listen to this story and I had no second thoughts about it, said yes immediately. Oke Oka Jeevitham is a film that I am immensely proud of. I am grateful to Shree Karthick. Tharun Bhascker has done a fine job with the dialogues and I'm a big fan of his films too. Jakes Bejoy has done a fantastic job with the music score, especially the song about the mother."

Talking about a song penned by late lyricist Sirivennela, Sharwanand stated, "When the team wanted a good lyricist on board for the song on motherhood in Oke Oka Jeevitham, I told them it's only Sirivennela Seetharama Sastri who would do justice to it. Unfortunately, he is not among us anymore. He worked on the song for over nine months - I'm not sure if he has worked on any song for such a long time. It has come out beautifully and I hope he's happy wherever he is and lives on through this number. We are planning to release the song in an event specially dedicated to our mothers."

"I wouldn't have done this film if Amala garu hadn't accepted it. Karthick had written the role keeping only her in the mind. It was an honour working with her. She has a matchless aura and positivity around her. Oke Oka Jeevitham will be an unforgettable, memorable film for audiences," he signed off. Dream Warrior Pictures has bankrolled the film which is expected to be a February 2022 release.
