In February, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy made the announcement of their Puja film, Bohurupee. The shooting of the film started in mid-March. Shiboprosad, who plays a character in the film, sustained a back injury while shooting on Friday. He was under medical supervision. On Friday, he underwent an MRI scan.

Screenwriter and Shiboprosad’s wife Zinia Sen told OTTplay and the doctors suspected an injury on his L1 and L2 of spinal cord. Doctors suggested an MRI to get a clearer picture. As per reports, there was a fracture and he has been admitted to hospital. He may be released on Monday. Doctors may ask Shiboprosad to rest for a few weeks.

Bohurupee features Abir Chatterjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty. The film’s shooting has been going on near Kolkata in Barackpore. Billed as a heist thriller, the film involves action sequences. Shiboprosad injured himself while taking a jump from a high wall. He collided with another actor and fell.

Shiboprosad previously said that Bohurupee will have the highest budget among films produced by Windows. Its shooting will go on for 40 days, which will be the longest schedule in the director duo’s career. The shooting will take place in Bolpur, Baranagar, Beldanga, Bantala, etc.

Earlier, Shiboprosad said that the script of the film is based on an important crime which is important in Lalbazar’s history also. “It was planned during Muktodhara. The work got delayed due to Covid 19. At last, we could start the film after 12 years.” He said that the protagonist of the real incident is still alive. They gave their statements in the film. This is a bigger incident than Raktabeej.”
