Kantara has drawn praise from every corner with personalities of the highest repute lauding Rishab Shetty for his achievements. From superstar Rajinikanth to Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, the film has been the sole point of discussion over the past few weeks and by the looks of it, will remain so for a few more to come. On the home front, celebrities like Yash, Sudeep, and others have endorsed Kantara as their own and declared it the pride of Kannada Cinema.
In this vein, many wondered why veteran actor Shiva Rajkumar hadn't spoken about the film yet. Shivanna, as he is fondly referred to by the entire fraternity, is known to share a good rapport with Rishab Shetty and the two are also slated to collaborate at some point in the future but the former's lack of public appraisal of the film was a tad puzzling.
However, at a recent event held in Bengaluru, the 60-year-old actor revealed that he is yet to watch Kantara and that he plans on doing so in a couple of days. In the same breath, Shiva Rajkumar wholeheartedly acknowledged the success of Kantara and added that he is immensely happy that the film has reached such heights.
Speaking about Kannada Cinema's growth at the recent Raymo trailer launch event, he said, "I have a lot of expectations from Raymo after watching the trailer. The film looks great and the making behind seems top-notch as well. And I could say that about almost every Kannada film releasing of late. Kantara, especially, I feel so proud of that film. I haven't had the opportunity to watch the film yet but I do plan on watching it in a couple of days. I did watch the trailer, though, and called up Rishab almost immediately to tell him that I was super intrigued by the concept of Kantara. One particular song in the film did stay with me for a very long time and I told Rishab just that."
