It looks like the shoot for Sivakarthikeyan's Prince has been wrapped up. The team has completed canning the crucial portions of the film, and has already moved on to post production. Only a song is being shot in Chennai. Prince, directed by Anudeep KV, has Ukraine model-turned-actress Maria Ryaboshapka playing the leading lady. Prince also marks her acting debut in India. Now that the portions have been canned, it looks like the film will indeed hit screens for Diwali as planned. Prince will clash with Karthi's Sardar at the box office, which is also hitting screens for Diwali.

It looks like Sivakarthikeyan plays a teacher in the romantic comedy, who falls in love with a foreigner. Music for the film is by Thaman. Interestingly, this is the first time that Thaman is scoring music for a Sivakarthikeyan film. Prince is a bilingual, which will release in Tamil and Telugu.

Maria Ryaboshapka had taken to her social media to say that she thoroughly enjoyed working in the film, "I've been in India for 4 months now and have been working on the #SK20 project with @Siva_Kartikeyan. I am very pleased to work with this team and I am waiting for the movie premiere in October at the Diwali festival (sic)." Paramahamsa is handling the cinematography, while Praveen KL is handling the editing.

The film is bankrolled by Suniel Narang, D Suresh Babu and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and is made under the banners of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, Suresh Productions and Shanthi Talkies. Prince will be presented by Sonali Narang.

Soon after the work on Prince is over, Sivakarthikeyan is expected to get busy with his next, Maveeran, directed by Madonne Ashwin. The title announcement video was released recently by Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu. Music is by Bharath Shankar, cinematography is by Vidhu Ayyanna and editing is by Philomin Raj. The film is bankrolled by Arun Viswa of Shanthi Talkies.
