Shovan Ganguly speaks up on his alleged engagement with Sohini Sarkar

Shovan Ganguly and Sohini Sarkar have been reportedly dating for months. While the actress and the musician did not officially announce their relationship status, their photos together – especially from exotic places – fan the speculation of their relationship. Recently, the duo went to Sweden together. On Tuesday, social media went abuzz with yet another speculation: if the duo got engaged.

It all started with a video posted by Shovan. In a Reel, he sings Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai in the backdrop of snow-clad Scandinavia in a bright yellow puffer jacket. Along with the musician, the video also features a bright gold ring on his ring finger. Soon after the video was dropped, several reports speculated about their engagement.

Shovan, however, denied the news. In an interview with Pratidin, the musician clarified that it was his ring and not gifted by Sohini. 

Shovan and Sohini’s relationship started being reported in the middle of 2023. Both of them went through their respective breakups. Shovan ended his relationship with Swastika Dutta and Sohini and Ranojoy Bishnu’s relationship also came to an end. After that, Shovan was spotted at Sohini’s birthday party. Both of them posted individual photos from the same location after that and finally, their Sweden trip photos on social media strengthened the rumour about their relationship.
