K-drama lovers, hold your breath as Goblin star Gong-yoo and The Glory star Song Hye-kyo are teaming up for a new drama titled Show Business. Fans are excited to see the most-awaited pairings of K-drama. Show Business is previously known as Slowly but Intensely. The two actors are pioneers of Korean entertainment and have made significant contributions to Hallyu. Now, the streaming giant Netflix has unveiled the full cast list of the upcoming drama.

Squid Game star Gong-yoo and Descendants of the Sun star Song Hye-kyo will be joined by Lee Ha-nee, Cha Seung-won, and Seolhyun. 

In the drama, Song Hye-kyo will play the role of Min Ja. She is a resilient woman who endured a challenging childhood. She tries to survive and jump into the South Korean music industry. 

Gong-yoo will essay the role of Dong Gu. He is Min Ja’s childhood friend who follows her into the industry. Although unpredictable, he is loyal and always stands by Min Jae. 

Who will play what in Show Business?

Meanwhile, Light Shop actress Seolhyun will play the role of Min Hui. She shares a love-hate relationship with Min Ja since childhood. Min Hui follows Min Ja’s lead but also has a contrasting rebellious spirit.

The Tyrant actor Cha Seung-won will play Gil Yeo. He is a great composer and has a commanding presence in the music industry. The Fiery Priest actress Lee Ha-nee portrays Yang Ja, Min Hui’s mother. She dreams of becoming a singer and overcoming her financial struggles and harsh reality. 

Meanwhile, the drama, previously referred to as Slowly but Intensely, is set in the 1960s and 1980s. It will focus on people who, despite slow beginnings, pursue their dreams of success. The drama has been written by acclaimed writer Noh Hee-kyung and helmed by renowned director Lee Yoon-jung. 

As per reports, Show Business is aiming to wrap up the filming in the first half of the year and might be released on Netflix as a 22-episode series.
