Sangama Samaagama, a humorous short tale about two strangers meeting near the sea and the conversation that follows, is all set to release. The Kannada short film, starring Iruvudellava Bittu’s Shri and Dia’s Kushee Ravi, will be released on YouTube on March 30 at 6 pm. The film has been directed by Prasad Kanteerava, who had earlier made Thank You with Shine Shetty.
Sangama Samaagama, as per the teaser that came out today, has Shri playing an artiste, and Kushee a musician. Shri has been quoted as saying that Sangama Samagama is a humorous film, with all the ingredients of a feature film except the duration. In the film Shri is an artist who looks at every situation in life from a different perspective.
Kushee, incidentally, is becoming a short film specialist, having had two releases recently. Jaatare, a short film directed by Channa Basava that she did before Dia, came out in October last year, following which she was a part of Ikshana, directed by Prasanna VM. Prasanna’s short film, is set in a nuclear family, comprising a father, mother, a daughter and their son, with most of the action surrounding the first three, played Sridhar KS, Seetha Kote and Kushee Ravi, respectively. “The story explores a conflict that arise out of gender stereotypes, with the father returning home and asking the homemaker mother to serve coffee. When the daughter questions why that is the mother’s duty, or for that matter hers, and not that of the son, who was just idling around, a clash of ideologies breaks out between the father and daughter. Both have valid reasons for the way they perceive things, and yet, neither of them is completely right or wrong,” says the filmmake
Up next, she will also be seen in a sci-fi short film called Everything is Possible. Directed by Manoj Kumar, the film will have Kushee in the role of an astronomer who wants to meet her favourite astronomer.
