Director Suku Purvaj forayed into Telugu cinema with an unconventional thriller Shukra, that earned decent reviews and garnered good viewership upon its OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. His second film titled Maataraani Mounamidhi, featuring debutants Mahesh Datta, Soni Srivastava in key roles, hit theatres earlier this year and will have its OTT premiere on aha in the first half of December.

Now, the filmmaker announced his third film today, a project titled A Master Piece. Touted to be a superhero film, the project will be bankrolled by Srikanth Kandragula under Cinema Bandi Productions. The first look poster and the title of the film were unveiled today. Much like his earlier two outings, the director promises that the film will be a genre-bender with a blend of thrills, superpowers and science fiction.

Sharing the first poster of the film, Suku Purvaj wrote, “Project #3 Inch by inch #AMP #AMasterpiece” Sneha Gupta, who has essayed crucial roles in films like Tees Maar Khan (2022), Sridevi Soda Center (2021) and Wedding Anniversary (2017), has come on board for a crucial role as of now. The film is still in its pre-production stages. More details about the film’s cast and crew will be announced in the coming week.

Suku Purvaj’s earlier release, Maataraani Mounamidhi, to stream soon on aha, also starred Sanjai Raai, Chandu, Archana Ananth, Suman Shetty, Kasi Raju, Pramodh and Keshav. The story of the film revolves around Ram (Mahesh Datta) and his nephew Eshwar (Sanjai Raai). When Ram and Eshwar meet later, a gardener offers a ring to the former. Ram soon meets a speech impaired girl Seetha (Soni Srivastava) and they fall in love. All hell breaks loose when Ram experiences a series of eerie events in Eshwar’s house due to the ring.
