Sita Ramam: Makers share a glimpse of the film, starring Rashmika Mandanna, Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur

The makers of the Hanu Raghavapudi's film, featuring Dulquer Salmaan, Rashmika Mandanna and Mrunal Thakur had earlier revealed the actors' characters and now, they have let out the title of the movie. 

On the occasion of Shri Ram Navami today, Rashmika Mandanna took to social media to share a glimpse video, giving away the title of the movie and an idea about what it is going to be about. The film, Sita Ramam will revolve around the characters of Dulquer and Mrunal, who play Ram and Sita, respectively.

The video, which is about 45 seconds long, opens with Rashmika taking over the screen. A voice-over suggests that her character Afreen will ensure that Ram and Sita win the war. It is then followed by a brief introduction of the characters of Dulquer and Mrunal.

The makers had shared a character poster earlier on Dulquer’s birthday, suggesting that the film has Dulquer and Mrunal playing the roles of lovers. But Rashmika's character is yet to be figured out in detail. Her hijab-clad look was earlier introduced on her birthday. According to Indian Express, Dulquer said the film is “one of the most beautiful tales ever” and he is glad to be collaborating with Rashmika on it. He said she is a “part of this film and bringing your joie de vivre to it.”

The film is bankrolled under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema. 

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan completed the shoot of the upcoming Netflix series. Directed by Raj and DK of The Family Man fame, Guns & Gulaabs also features Rajkummar Rao. While Rashmika has signed on Vijay’s upcoming film after Pushpa The Rise, Mrunal Thakur awaits the release of Jersey with Shahid Kapoor.
