Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par is nearing its lifetime run. The film, supposedly Aamir's comeback movie, inches close to the Rs 150 crore mark, thus making it the fifth highest-grossing in his career. While the film will definitely not reach the benchmark set by Dangal, can Sitaare Zameen Par at least be Aamir's 3 Idiots? Find out...

Sitaare Zameen Par is nearing the Rs. 150 crore mark. The movie has entered its fourth week and is expected to end its lifetime run at Rs. 160 crore. The film has currently minted Rs. 149.89 crore so far, and is expected to reach the Rs. 150 crore mark by the end of the day or within two days. Although Aamir's movie has long crossed the benchmark set by Ghajini (Rs. 114 crore), the business has slowed down considerably, given it is a month since the film's release.
Sitaare Zameen Par is unlikely to touch Rs. 200 crore, since the business of the film has slowed down considerably. The movie is likely to end its Box Office run with Rs. 160 crore at the Box Office, which is far from Rs. 200 crore. For the uninitiated, the actor's movie 3 Idiots had minted Rs. 202.47 crore at the Box Office during the time of its release.

Apart from 3 Idiots, Sitaare Zameen Par has not been able to beat the Box Office collections of Dhoom 3, PK and Dangal. They had minted Rs. 271.07 crore, Rs. 340.8 crore and Rs. 374.43 crore at the Box Office during the time of their release.
Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par also marked Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh's return to Bollywood. It featured Taare Zameen Par actor Darsheel Safary in a cameo appearance as well.
