Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss’ ambitious project, tentatively titled SK23, has an interesting new cast member. According to sources, Malayalam actor Biju Menon has been roped in to play an important role in the film. Although an official announcement is awaited, sources claim that the Ayyappanum Koshiyum actor is indeed a part of the AR Murugadoss directorial.
Biju Menon in Sivakarthikeyan's SK23?
Biju Menon has appeared in Tamil films before and was last seen in Kishore-starrer Porkkalam in 2010. Hence, if the rumours are true, SK23 will see the Malayalam actor return to Kollywood after 14 years.
Earlier, it was reported that Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal is playing the main antagonist in the film. Vidyut last worked with AR Murugadoss in Vijay’s action thriller Thuppakki. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is also speculated to be part of this project. Although an announcement regarding the official cast is awaited, excited fans cannot wait to see the amazing star cast share screen space with each other in this eagerly-anticipated action thriller.
Sivakarthikeyan's unique performance in SK23
Although the makers of SK23 have yet to make any official announcements, acting coach Rajesh Balachandiren, who is working with Sivakarthikeyan for the film, gave a little bit of information about the movie
“As acting coaches, all we can do is aid talented actors with the subtle aspects of their performances that are necessary for the screenplay. All I can tell is that Sivakarthikeyan's performance will seem brand new and that the screenplay is unique, but I am not allowed to disclose anything about it,” he said. He also revealed that the film has Sivakarthikeyan in a never-before-seen action role.
Earlier reports stated that SK23 is likely to have a festive release during Diwali 2024. Sivakarthikeyan is also simultaneously working on another film, Amaran, and SK23 might be released first. Additionally, AR Murugadoss also has his Bollywood project with Salman Khan in the pipeline, and hence, the filmmaker is likely to wrap up the shoot of SK23 soon so that he can concentrate on his next project.
Starring Sivakarthikeyan and Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth, Sk23 has original music scored by Anirudh Ravichander.
