Sonu Nigam last crooned for Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha

Sonu Nigam got candid in a recent interview. The singer spoke about how actors never came forward to support them when required. He cited the example of Shah Rukh Khan and said that he would still be singing for King Khan if actors fought for singers. The actor was recently seen crooning for Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha.
What Sonu said
During a recent interview with Zoom, Sonu said that no actor interferes or fights with directors to retain singers in their films. “If that was the case, I would still be singing for Shah Rukh Khan. They (actors) think this is the composer’s or director’s department,” he said, adding that while actors give reference of singers, they do not fight to retain them.
Sonu and SRK’s collaboration
One of the most memorable collaborations between the singer and actor happen to be the title track of Kal Ho Naa Ho. Sonu has also voiced Yeh Dil Deewane from Pardes and Satrangi Re from Dil Se. Apart from that, Sonu has been the voice of some popular songs like Tanhayee from Dil Chahta Hai, Saathiya title track and Sandese Aate Hai from Border.
Laal Singh Chaddha and other projects
Sonu had last sung in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. He had also sung Bhagwan Hai Kahan Re Tu in the actor’s film, PK. The singer revealed that Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra insisted that he would sing in their movie and thus, he got the opportunity to sing the song.
