Marvel Entertainment has announced the release of its new animated superhero film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in 10 Indian languages - including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi and Bengali. Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, the film continues the story of Miles Morales from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which came out in 2018. Set to be released on June 2, the film will clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan in theatres.

The makers have stated that they want to increase the popularity of the franchise and wants to see Spider-Man fan in every Indian house. The film features the debut of Spider-Man: India, Pavitr Prabhakar, swinging through the streets of Mumbai. The character is voiced by Karan Soni. It will be released in India by Sony Pictures.

The new trailer features Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) swinging through the multiverse as he comes across a team of ‘Spider’ people. It also features a new villain Miguel O'Hara (Oscar Isaac), who puts Miles in a dilemma of choosing between a loved one or the survival of humanity.

The film’s screenplay is written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and David Callaham. It features an ensemble cast, including Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Daniel Kaluuya, Shea Whigham and Jorma Taccone.
