Spider-Man: No Way Home came with a lot of fanfare and excitement and the movie was also able to live up with all the excitement. Opening to rave reviews, the movie also set a number of box office records on the way.
Now Tom Holland and Zendaya, who have been a part of the MCU's previous Spider-Man movies have opened up about the ending of the No Way Home in an interview with Marvel’s official website.
“I cried throughout the whole movie," Zendaya said. "And the first thing I said when we finished was, 'This is awfully sad.”. Holland added, "It's brutal. It's tough. It's bittersweet."
To this, Zendaya replied asking if it was indeed bittersweet, because she feels its all very bitter and has not yet gotten to the sweet part.
Zendaya also said that she wanted the movie to end with Peter Parker and MJ going to college together but the movie took a rather different route. Holland says that he wanted them to be together as well, but he knew that it would not happen.
While the movie brings together the three Spider-Mans played by Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andew Garfield, it ended the movie in a rather tragic fashion, with the entire world forgetting Peter Parker.
Directed by Jon Watts, the movie continues from where it left out in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and has Peter Parker trying a way to fix everything that is currently happening in the world and eventually seeking help from Doctor Strange.
Apart from Holland and Zendaya, the 27th MCU movie also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Benedict Wong, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire.
