Sridevi Soda Centre breaks ZEE5 Telugu record, achieves 50 million streaming minutes in a week

Fans seem to have welcomed Sridevi Soda Centre with open arms and the numbers are here to back it up to. The Sudheer Babu starrer action drama has broken ZEE5 Telugu records to achieve 50 million streaming minutes, and that too in a week’s time.

ZEE5 Telugu took to Twitter to announce the news. Their caption thanked audiences for making the film a ‘thunderous hit’ on its platform.

Directed by Karuna Kumar, Sridevi Soda Centre had its theatrical release on August 27, 2021. It became one of the first Tollywood films to be released after the reopening of theatres in Telugu-speaking states.

ZEE5 had later acquired the rights to stream the film on its platform. They teased the news with several cryptic posts before finally announcing its premiere date. The action-drama has been available for streaming on ZEE5 Telugu since November 4, 2021, coinciding with the Diwali weekend.

Sridevi Soda Centre tells the story of a young man, Suri Babu whose expertise in lighting arrangements leads to him dreaming of starting a business of the same in his village. He falls in love with the young Sridevi, who also becomes smitten with Babu’s charm. But the woman’s father, who runs a soda business in their village, vehemently opposed the union, citing the caste difference of the couple.

The film stars Anandhi as the female lead opposite Babu. Naresh and Satyam Rajesh also appear in key roles.

Sridevi Soda Centre is written by Nagendra Kasi and produced by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under their 70mm Entertainments banner.
