Trivikram busy casting for his female lead in Venkatesh's next
Sankrantiki Vaanam was released in January 2025, and since then Venkatesh did not announce any film until he locked his next with star director Trivikram Srinivas the other day. The film was launched with a formal pooja ceremony and will go on flo ors soon.
The female lead of the film is yet to be locked, and there was news that Rukmini Vasanth, the Kannada sensation, will be playing the female lead. Now we have come to know from one of the sources in the unit that Srinidhi Shetty, who made her Telugu debut with Nani's HIT 3, is also in talks to play the female lead.
The source goes on to add that talks are in an advanced stage, and there is a chance of both Rukmini and Srinidhi Shetty playing key roles in this film. Apart from these two names, Trivikram has also zeroed in on Meenakshi Chaudhary, with whom he worked in Mahesh Babu‘s Guntur Kaaram.
By the end of this week, Trivikram is expected to take a call and finalise the heroine of this family drama, says the source. Trivikram is known to work with big names, and all his films usually feature some of the biggest stars, even in the smallest roles. So whether the Kannada beauties will get the nod, or there will be somebody else who will take the female lead role in this film, remains to be seen.
As of now, the pre-production is on in full swing, and very soon, the makers will take the film on floors. Thaman will compose the music and has already started prepping for the same. Venkatesh will once again be seen in a fun role in this film, as per the news. Stay tuned for more updates.
