Raj Tarun is making an attempt to break myths about his on-screen persona with his next release, Stand Up Rahul. The film, which has him paired opposite Jaanu, 96 actor Varsha Bollamma, is directed by a debutant Santo Mohan Veeranki and is releasing in theatres on March 18. Sweekar Agasthi is scoring the music for Stand Up Rahul and being his first full-fledged urban outing, the composer is giving his very best for the album. A new number from the film, Shallow, sung by popular Hindi singer Shaan, was launched by actress Mehreen Pirzada earlier today.
Shallow, the song, is about a road trip that brings the lead pair together and they're making many memories during the journey, having great fun. The number is quite a treat to the eyes and the actors give it their best shot to add charm to the result with their attractive screen presence. Shaan, with an energy unique to him alone, makes a mark with a catchy, spirited rendition that's peppy, pleasant and vibrant. Sri Mani has penned the lyrics for the same.
The song starts off with the lines, 'Shallow..Kalala valley lo nadiche manasuro..Flowlo fantasyla marero..Highlo heart beate rhythme penchero..' Visually, Shallow takes us through the bike rides, laugh-out-loud moments in a hill station, when the guy and girl are falling in love with one another. The picturesque locations, good on-screen chemistry between Raj Tarun and Varsha add to the song's charm. True to the vibe of the film, Shallow is light-hearted, fresh and makes for a good hearing.
Vennela Kishore, Murali Sharma, Indraja, Devi Prasad, Madhurima Narla, Rajkumar Kasireddy, Tejoy Bhattaru and others also play crucial roles in the film. Cinematographer Sreeraj Raveendran and art director Uday Umagopal are making their debut with this project too. Edited by Raviteja Girijala, the film's sound designer is Nagarjuna Thallapalli. Nanda Kishore Emani has penned the dialogues. Nandkumar Abbineni, Bharath Maguluri has bankrolled the film under Dream Town Productions and Highfive Pictures.
