Sukhee on OTT: Here’s where and when you can stream Shilpa Shetty - Kusha Kapila starrer online

Just a few months earlier, the Shilpa Shetty starrer Sukhee was released on the silver screen. The film, which managed to ruffle quite a few emotional feathers amongst the cinegoers. There is great news for all the ardent Shilpa Shetty fans and also the die-hard fans of emotional dramas. The Shilpa Shetty starrer Sukhee will now be premiered on OTT! The OTT platform is Netflix and the release date of the film on the OTT platform has been decided as November 17 this year.

Sukhee's plot

For those who missed watching the ‘never-say-never’ Shilpa Shetty’s triumphant against all odds role in Sukhee, here’s what you missed. As the name suggests, Sukhee is the central character played by Shilpa Shetty. She is a typical middle-class lady who is married to Guru (effectively played by Chaitanya Choudhry). They also have a young school going girl (another great find by the director). Besides them, the family also consists of an extremely endearing Vinod Nagpal, who plays Sukhee's father-in-law.

Sukhee's all-girls trip

Sukhee’s life is so very stereotypical normal till one day, she decides to listen to the call of her heart and set out on an all-girls trip, which was nothing but a reunion of her college friends. Sukhee and her girl gang not just relive their past days, but also live their present-day queen size! The girl gang consists of Mansi, Tanvi and Meher (played by Kusha Kapila, Dilnaz Irani, Pavleen Gujral respectively). Loaded with their college-hood mantra of three ‘Bs’ (Bedhadak, Besharam, Beparwaah), the ladies live no stone unturned in celebrating life.

It is here, when Sukhee encounters her batchmate Vikram Varma (played by Amit Sadh), who is a multimillionaire by now. Flashback states that, during college days, even though Vikram was madly in love with Sukhee, he never could muster the courage to tell her about his feelings. On the other hand, Sukhee, who is totally bored and frustrated of living the life of a bird, whose wings have been clipped by duties and responsibilities, also starts finding solace in Vikram. What happens to the lives of Sukhee, Vikram, Guru and their young daughter is what forms the rest of the film.

While the film has been directed by Sonal Joshi, it has been written by Radhika Anand, Paulomi Dutta and Rupinder Inderjit. The film was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Shikhaa Sharma.
