A week ago, the news of Sunainaa getting kidnapped had left many movie buffs perplexed. The news clipping, which informed that her friends and relatives are in search of her, went viral on social media in no time. Though a few rubbished it off as a publicity stunt for one of her forthcoming films, there wasn't any further update on the case.

Now, the actress and director Domin D'Silva have appeared in a news clip of a channel which is out on social media. It has the anchor clarifying that Sunainaa isolated herself to prepare for her character in the movie Regina.

The makers of the film finally revealed that the kidnapping drama was actually a part of its promotions. The news clip has Domin informing that Regina is a revenge drama. Sunainaa suddenly interferes and says the kidnapping drama was planned by the filmmaker himself and that he doesn't like her.

She says, "The director took a personal revenge on me. I consider myself as a decent actor. But he doesn't seem to be impressed with my skills. He also refers to his actors as mere tools."

The Laththi actress then informed that Regina is gearing up for a theatrical release soon and that its audio launch will happen in June. Sathish Nair, who has bankrolled the project under Yellow Bear Production, has scored music as well. Venkat Prabhu had unveiled its first look a year ago.

The movie is releasing in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, too. Pavi K Pavan and Toby John have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the film.
