Sunir Khetarpal ropes in Rakul Preet Singh for his next thriller, directed by Nikhil Mahajan

Rakul Preet Singh, who was last seen in Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Thank God has a lot on her plate with several upcoming Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu movies. Rakul has been signed on for yet another project. According to the information, the actress has been signed on for Sunir Khetarpal's upcoming project, which will be helmed by Nikhil Mahajan.

A reliable source in the industry reveals, "Yes, Rakul Preet Singh does have her hands full with multiple projects, and it is also true that she has been signed on for another venture." The insider revealed additional information to Bollywood Hungama about the new movie Rakul has agreed to, saying that the new film that Rakul has agreed to is being bankrolled by Sunir Khetrapal, and will be directed by Nikhil Mahajan. She will play the lead female character in a fully realised mystery thriller. 

The source further revealed more details about the film telling that the untitled film is an adaptation of another movie from a foreign language, therefore it will effectively be a remake of sorts.

However, there has been no formal announcement on this new development. But, according to the source, the project will be formally announced by the movie's producers as soon as the dotted line is signed.

Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh will next be featured in the Tejas Deoskar-directed film Chhatriwali and the Hindi remake of Meri Patni Ka. In addition to this, the actress has Tamil films Ayalaan, Indian 2, and 31 October Ladies Night, which is bilingual in Tamil and Telugu.
