Kannada star Rakshit Shetty's recent release 777Charlie has been winning praise from everyone. The film is an adventure drama, directed by Kiranraj K and it follows the life of Dharma (played by Rakshit Shetty), whose life changes after he meets a dog, which he calls Charlie. The star cast also includes Bobby Simha, Danish Sait, Sangeetha Sringeri and Raj B Shetty. Rakshit has also doubled up as the producer of the film. The film received so many rave reviews that the Karnataka government passed an order to exempt 777 Charlie from SGST ( State Goods or Service Tax).
And now, Superstar Rajinikanth, too has watched the film and made a call to Rakshit Shetty. The Superstar seems to spoken about the quality of the film, especially the climax scene and ended the conversation on a spiritual note. Taking to his social media page, Rakshit Shetty wrote,"What an amazing start to the day!☺ Received a call from Rajinikanth sir. He watched #777Charlie last night and has been in awe of the film. He spoke highly of the making quality, the deeper designs of the film, and especially expressed his admiration for the climax and….…how it concludes on a spiritual note. To hear such words from the superstar himself is beyond wonderful. Thank you so much @rajinikanth sir 🤗🤗🤗 (sic)."
After the trailer was released, it was speculated that 777 Charlie is inspired by the tale of Dharmaraja and Kaliyuga from the epic Mahabharatha. The film also spreads awareness about adoption of animals and the ill effects of inbreeding. The film, which was made in Kannada, has been dubbed and released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi as well. Though 777 Charlie was ready to hit screens earlier, the pandemic put a brake on the plans, and the film went on release on June 10 as Rakshit Shetty's birthday special.
