Actor Suriya, whose film teaser Retro has excited his fandom, is currently working with filmmaker and actor RJ Balaji, in the upcoming Tamil film tentatively titled Suriya 45. The film is under production, and also stars Trisha as the female lead.
While the makers had revealed the cast and crew of Suriya 45, the team remained tight-lipped on who will play the antagonist in the film. Now, as per the latest reports, it is none other than RJ Balaji himself who will be opposing Suriya in the film.
Suriya 45: RJ Balaji to play villain?
We had earlier reported that in the upcoming Tamil film Suriya 45, the leading actor will be playing a lawyer who will be taking up a strong case. The film is expected to be a courtroom drama for majority of portions.
Suriya 45 is written and directed by actor and filmmaker RJ Balaji, who is known for starring in his own directorial works like Veetla Vishesham and Mookuthi Amman. It looks like RJ Balaji will be following the same work pattern for Suriya 45 as well. Yes! RJ Balaji will not only be starring in the film, but will play a powerful villain standing against Suriya. The Sorgavaasal actor is expected to play opposition party lawyer in the film, locking horns with Suriya. However, an official announcement has not yet been made.

Suriya 45 is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. The actors who are part of the cast include Trisha, Yogi Babu, Indrans, Swasika, Sshivada, Natarajan Subramaniam aka Natty, Anagha Maaya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy, and others.
While AR Rahman was initially announced as music director, he was replaced with Sai Abhyankkar. GK Vishnu will be cranking the camera with Vikram Mor handling the action choreography of the film. R Kalavanan is the editor. Arjun Venjaramoodu handles the production design.
A release date for Suriya 45 has not yet been announced.
