There's news for Suriya's anbaana fans. Suriya is currently busy shooting for his next, which is tentatively being referred to as Suriya42. The film is directed by Siva of Veeram and Vivegam fame. The latest we hear is that the first schedule of the film, which was being canned in Goa, has been wrapped up. A picture from the sets that features the star cast has been doing the rounds on social media. In the picture, Disha Patani is seen along with director Siva and producer KE GnanavelRaja along with the rest of crew. Ever since the picture was released on social media, fans of the actor have been going gaga over the picture.
The team had earlier released an intriguing teaser, which gave a peek of Suriya's character. The video featured a war zone with warriors ready to battle and an eagle flying from across and landing on Suriya's character's shoulders. Going by the teaser, the film is billed to be a historical fantasy. Fans are curious about Suriya's character in the film, which is said to be sort of a superhero. However, his look was not entirely revealed. The film is said to be a big-budgeted project and is likely to have a pan-India release. The team had announced that the film will be released in ten languages to appeal to a larger audience.
Music for the film is by Devi Sri Prasad. Interestingly, Devi Sri Prasad had earlier scored music for Suriya films, which include Singam, Maayavi and Aaru. Suriya42 marks the debut of Disha Patani in the Tamil film industry and is bankrolled by Studio Green.
In the meantime, Suriya also has in hand Vetri Maaran's Vaadi Vaasal, which is based on CS Chellappa's novel and will revolve around the traditional bull taming sport. He is also working on his mentor Bala's Vanangaan, for which the shooting is on. The film is said to be a rural subject with Suriya playing a fisherman. He will also make a cameo appearance in the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru, which is helmed by Sudha Kongara and has Akshay Kumar in the lead.
