The second season of Tamil web series Suzhal 2 is all set to premiere on Prime Video on February 28. The crime drama series comes from Pushkar and Gayatri who serve as showrunners. With the first season already starring actors Kathir and Aishwarya Rajesh who will be reprising their roles, the second season will be getting bigger with more known faces coming onboard.

Small town, big festival and a murder is the common thread that connects the two seasons of Suzhal The Vortex. Besides this, actors Kathir and Aishwarya Rajesh come back as Sakkarai and Nandini respectively, along with a bunch of other known faces.

Hailing from Pushkar and Gayatri, the second season will not feature actors like Parthiban, Sriya Reddy, Harish Uthaman, Nivedhithaa Sathish and Elango Kumaravel. Instead, it will feature actors Lal, Saravanan, Manjima Mohan, Kayal Chandran, Gouri G Kishan, Samyuktha Viola Viswanathan, Monisha Blessy, Rini, Shrisha, Abhirami Bose, Nikhila Sankar, Kalaivani Bhaskar, Ashwini Nambiar, Chandini Tamilarasan in important roles. The new additions in the cast make sure that Suzhal 2 will have a new storyline, while continuing the lives of Nandini and Sakkarai from the past.

All you need to know about Suzhal 2

The second season will shift from Sambaloor village to Kaalipattanam where Ashtakaali festival is nearing. With Lal playing Chellappa, an activist and advocate who is defending Nandini, the series begins with his murder and eight girls confessing to killing him.

Consisting of eight episodes, the series is directed by Bramma and Sarjun KM. Abraham Joseph is the cinematographer and Sam CS has scored the music. Richard Kevin is the editor of the series. It will premiere on Prime Video on February 28.
